Components of the Timing System

The complete TranX140 timing and scoring system consists of four main components: transponders, decoder, detection loop, and the computer with software.

		TRANSPONDERS - Allow each go kart to have a unique identification. It is fixed on the kart with a metal bracket and is equipped with a permanent lithium battery. It is inactive until it passes over the active detection loop at the finish line. AMB130 transponders are shockproof, waterproof, and come with a full 3-year warranty.
		DECODER - Receives data from the active detection loop, & combines each unique transponder signal with the exact passing time. It sends the info to a computer running the timing software. The decoder also has an internal back-up for that rare moment that the timing computer crashes and can remember 6000 passings to give you time to get the computer back up. Also carries a full 3-year warranty.
		LOOP - Is embedded into the track surface and picks up each transponder passing over it. It sends out a continuous signal which triggers each transponder to switch on as it passes over the loop. The unique signal of the transponder is picked up by the activated loop and transferred to the decoder. Several transponders can be picked up over the loop at exactly the same time, even if 5 or 6 karts pass the loop all at once.
SOFTWARE - The TranX140 system comes with the Windows Rentix software that enables you to make a printout of the individual lap times of all competitors on one sheet or print out race results. It will also check on how many races each kart has driven, which enables you to check the operation hours and the proceeds of each kart. The RentiX software can be interfaced with a digital scoreboard.
